FAQs

  • Do you ship?

Yes, BMP ships within the US! I am willing to discuss shipping out of the country but buyer would be responsible for total shipping charges/any extra charges incurred with shipping internationally.

  • What's your shipping policy?

I charge $15 to ship one item and $5 more for each item within the same order. This (sometimes) covers shipping and handling.

I often use recycled shipping containers to lessen BMP’s carbon footprint. I know sometimes it doesn’t look as professional but I just can’t not recycle.

I try to ship within 2 days of your order. I ship with USPS and usually choose Priority shipping unless ground is significantly cheaper.

If you receive pottery that is damaged, pls let me know asap and also file a claim with the post office. Every package I send is insured. If it was my packing error, I am happy to replace it wih something of similiar value or refund your money. If it is the post office’s fault, I will happily help how I need to with the post office claim and work with you to figure out a way to make things right. My wish is that you are happy at the end of the experience.

  • Food safety/How to care for BMP pottery?

I use food safe glazes and fire them to the manufacturers specifications so they are food safe.

You can put items in the dishwasher though handwashing may keep pottery in the best shape for a longer time. Pieces with metallic glazes should not be put in the dishwasher. Some detergents may affect the finish.

I would recommend that you do not put pottery in the microwave, even though I fire them to over 2100 degrees. You can choose to (and I do with my own work that I use) but I feel like I have to recommend against it.

  • Do you take commissions?
